Not to be outdone, Ontario Minister of Education, Liz Sandals, announced today that it’s time for Ontario kids to memorize times tables.
Alberta’s Minister of Education, Jeff Johnson, commits to adding memorization of times tables to the Alberta curriculum this fall. (See this Globe and Mail article.) We hope he realizes that, while this is a good start, much more needs to be done to improve the Alberta curriculum.
